Bob Dylan Tribute Album Prepped for Release

The last time we heard about Bob Dylan, we were critiquing his rappin’ grandson’s lyrical prowess. But the folk singing activist is back on our radar amid news that some of the biggest stars in music today are prepping a tribute album especially for Dylan. Adele, Miley Cyrus, Maroon 5, Ke$ha, and Dave Matthews Band are among the artist who’ll appear on the upcoming LP Chimes of Freedom: Songs Of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International.

The three-disc compilation, which is being produced by Amnesty International, will be released on Jan. 30, with all proceeds going towards the charity. Additional covers will come from My Chemical Romance, Mariachi El Bronx, Queens Of The Stone Age, and My Morning Jacket.

Miley Cyrus Supports ‘Occupy’ Movement with Viral Tribute

Teen starlet Miley Cyrus has posted a tribute video in support of the Occupy movement sweeping the nation.

The former Hannah Montana star turned 19 Tuesday, and she celebrated the occasion by throwing her support behind the global protests of the self-professed “99%.” Miley’s “Liberty Walk” provides the soundtrack for the three-minute viral video, comprised of shots from the demonstration. The video was preceded by the words:

“This is dedicated to the thousands of people who are standing up for what they believe in.”

Way to butter up the protesters, Miles.
